Central to the film are characters who have suffered severely including those who have served time in prison for crimes they didn’t commit. This—in a system where the government and corporations have obliterated their right to a jury trial.
Woven among these stories is the Director’s personal journey as a lawyer and an investigator exposing the dire consequences of losing the jury. Traveling to the UK to compare their system to ours, the film shows a better way is possible.
